Development Bank Seychelles

Established by the Decree of 1977, DBS is the sole development bank in Seychelles and commenced its operations in February 1978.

The bank’s exclusive business activity is to provide financing to develop diverse sectors of the Seychelles economy. The Government of Seychelles, Agence Francaise De Developpement, European Investment Bank, and Nouvobanq are its proprietors.

DBS also manages concessionary funds on the government’s behalf, which are used to promote renewable energy, assist micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), develop the agriculture, fisheries, and the blue economy sectors and provide relief schemes during crisis.
